Ornellaia 2015 Bolgheri DOC Superiore "Il Carisma"

The desire to express the exceptional qualities of the Estate has been the basis of Ornellaia’s philosophy from the outset. Ornellaia is a cuvée of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, a faithful expression of a unique terroir that has always been in harmony with nature.

Winemaking and refinement: The wine remained in barriques in the Ornellaia cellar at a controlled temperature for about 18 months. After the first 12 months, the assembly was carried out and then reintroduced into the barriques where it spent another 6 months. The wine remains in the bottle for another 12 months before being placed on the market;

Color, bouquet and taste: The usual intense color indicates a wine of great structure and intensity, the nose follows with a fruitiness that is ripe and fresh at the same time, underlined by classic balsamic and spicy notes. On the palate it is rich, dense and broad, with an exceptional tannic texture, dense and velvety, of great refinement, which extends throughout the mouth. The long finish concludes with a feeling of firmness and finely spiced notes;
