Marchesale 2018 DOC Bolgheri Superiore

The elegance of this territory is immediately perceptible at the first sip of Marchesale, the banner of Terre del Marchesato. Born as Syrah in purity but from 2017 it becomes DOC Bolgheri Superiore, for this reason it is blended with the other three representative vines of the Bolgheri territory: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot; creating a perfect combination that gives life to an elegant but strongly enveloping and balanced wine.

Blend: Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot;

Winemaking: In conical steel vats with long maceration;

Refinement: 18 months in French oak barrels of I and II passage;

Color: Clear with a very intense ruby ​​red color, good density in the glass;

Scent: At the nose there are initially hints of ripe black fruit such as blackberry, currant, then balsamic notes where a nice mint note stands out, followed by spicy notes of black pepper, concludes with citrus and bergamot;

Taste: the olfactory sensations of black fruits are confirmed, a very pleasant menthol, notes of bitter cocoa, a beautiful structure, it stretches in the middle of the mouth, pleasantly saturating it;

Gradation: 14% Vol.;
